Step-by-step guide

   Prepare the Growing Medium

   Fill a seed tray or small pots with a fine, well-drained seed-starting mix. Moisten the growing medium evenly before sowing, but do not leave it waterlogged.

   Sow the Seeds

   Sprinkle the tiny seeds evenly over the surface of the growing medium. Press them gently into place without covering them deeply, as chamomile seeds need light to germinate.

   Keep Moist and Bright

   Place the tray in a bright location with indirect light. Keep the surface consistently moist by misting gently. Avoid strong water pressure, which can displace the tiny seeds.

   Care for the Seedlings

   Seeds usually germinate within 7–21 days. Once seedlings appear, provide bright light and good airflow. Water carefully and allow the soil surface to dry slightly between waterings.

   Thin or Transplant

   When seedlings have several true leaves, thin crowded plants or transplant them carefully into individual pots or the garden. Space plants about 20–30 cm apart.

   Grow and Harvest Flowers

   Grow Roman Chamomile in full sun to partial shade and keep the soil evenly moist but not soggy. Harvest fully opened flowers in the morning after the dew has dried. Use them fresh or dry them for herbal tea.
