Product overview

The 1010 Microgreen Growing Tray is a compact growing tray designed for home microgreen production and smaller growing batches. Its approximately 10 × 10-inch format provides a convenient growing area while using less space and growing medium than a full-size 1020 tray. Choose the tray with drainage holes for growing microgreens in soil, coco coir, or other suitable media. Pair it with the tray without holes underneath for clean and convenient bottom watering. The no-hole tray can also be used as a water-catching base or as part of the germination and blackout setup. Available with holes, without holes, or as a convenient set containing both types. Ideal for growing microgreens, wheatgrass, seedlings, and other small crops indoors or in protected growing areas.

Why choose this product

  • Compact 10 × 10-inch size — ideal for home growers and small-batch microgreens.
  • Choose with holes, without holes, or both to suit your growing setup.
  • Pair the trays for easy bottom watering and better moisture control.
  • Uses less growing medium than a full-size tray, making it great for smaller harvests.
  • Reusable and suitable for microgreens, wheatgrass, seedlings, and other small crops.

How to use

  1. 1

Place the tray with drainage holes inside a tray without holes. The bottom tray will collect water and allow convenient bottom watering.

  2. 2

Fill the growing tray evenly with your preferred growing medium, such as peat moss, coco coir, or a suitable microgreen growing mix.

  3. 3

Spread the seeds evenly across the surface. Use the recommended seed density for the microgreen variety you are growing.

  4. 4

Follow the germination and blackout requirements for your microgreen variety. Some varieties may not require soaking or a blackout period.

  5. 5

Once established, add water to the no-hole bottom tray and allow the growing medium to absorb moisture through the drainage holes. Avoid leaving excess standing water.

  6. 6

Harvest your microgreens when they reach the recommended stage for the variety. After use, empty the tray, wash thoroughly, and allow it to dry before reusing.
