Step-by-step guide

   Sow seeds 5 mm deep in rich, well-drained soil or seed trays. Germination in 5–10 days at 18–25°C.

   Thin or transplant seedlings to 30–45 cm apart once they have 3–4 true leaves. Containers should be at least 25–30 cm deep.

   Give full sun to partial shade. In Thailand, grow during the cool season or in a spot with afternoon shade.

   Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Mulch the base to retain moisture and keep roots cool.
